Learners should participate in job shadow and career days with people in the community and with their parents or guardians. Assist learners in seeing that learning is lifelong. Learners will better understand what adults do during their workday.
Talk about the job site and your learner’s appropriate attire for the day. Participants will be expected to dress appropriately for their job experience. Remind learners that they are representing your school.
The school and the learner will have to arrange transportation on a job shadow day. You must verify in writing how students are reaching their destination. Travel information should be on the permission slip signed by the parents/guardians.
