How to Renew or Reinstate a Teachers License in Oklahoma
Renewal of Teaching Certification
You have to renew your Oklahoma Standard Teaching License every 5 years. Use the Application for Renewal of Oklahoma Standard License. Finalize it in its entirety, and include the $50 processing fee. You have to also have worked for 3 years of the past 5 in an Oklahoma school. Finalize the Summary of PD Points for Certification Renewal, showing that you have finished 75 hours of PD during the 5-year validity of your license. Transcripts have to be provided to verify college coursework. Information on PD opportunities can be found here.
Teaching Certification Reinstatement
Suppose your Oklahoma Standard License has lapsed for more than 5 years, but you have become licensed in another state and taught there for 3 years during the past 5 years.
