Academics: Obtain a master’s degree in school counseling or relevant field or, if degreed, complete course work in a counseling program from a college sanctioned by the board to offer such a degree.
Experience Requirements: The candidate must successfully complete all field experiences set forth by the university and the counselor education program in the content and developmental levels. CPR and suicide training are also required for an initial license.
