California Baptist University is a private, four-year institution associated with the Southern Baptist Church. It is the only Southern Baptist university on the West Coast. CBU’s 128-acre institutional grounds are situated in Riverside, California, about 60 miles from Los Angeles. The University of California Riverside is about seven miles away. CBU offers 150 undergraduate degree options and concentrations and 33 graduate degree options, with 17 academic departments and institutions. Academics are backed by a 14 to 1 student/faculty ratio. On the intercollegiate front, the CBU Lancers play in the NCAA Division II Pacific West Conference (PacWest).
