9 Best Hotels with Water Parks in Myrtle Beach SC
A beach vacation is beautiful in and of itself, but when you add a water park to the mix, the fun multiplies tenfold.
A water park beach holiday is the place to go if you want to spend a beautiful day on the beach or an exciting day racing through tubes.
South California’s Myrtle Beach is a must-consider for a vacation that will keep young and old entertained.
Numerous resorts in Myrtle Beach cater to families by providing easy access to the beach and an on-site water park.
Here are some of my favorite hotels in Myrtle Beach, SC, and if you’re looking for a fun place to stay on your next trip, I highly recommend staying at one of these hotels that features a water park.
- Sea Crest Oceanfront Resort
Bottom of Form
First and foremost, the Sea Crest Oceanfront Resort’s water park has nine pools.
Even if you spent 30 minutes in each, you would still spend around 5 hours in the pools.
With an indoor and outdoor lazy river, an outdoor pool, and a kids’ activity pool, it’s safe to say that you and your family won’t be leaving the water any time soon.
And don’t worry; even the youngest guests are catered to with a separate pool.
The opportunity for your children to meet a real-life mermaid is one of the highlights of the available entertainment; they may also receive mermaid makeovers and capture Instagram-worthy images.
The hotel also provides a variety of lodging alternatives, and with the frequent discounts offered to visitors, it may be a significant money saver.
- South Bay Inn and Suites
This Myrtle Beach family hotel with indoor water slides also offers a splash pad for young children, an indoor and outdoor pool, and three beautiful hot tubs.
In addition, South Bay Inn’s location on Myrtle Beach’s renowned boardwalk is close to attractions such as the Second Avenue Pier, the Sky Wheel, and many retail complexes and fine restaurants.
The resort’s proximity to downtown Myrtle Beach makes it an excellent base for day trips to the Hammock Coast, North Myrtle Beach, and Murrells Inlet.
- Caribbean Resort and Villas
The Caribbean Resort & Villas is an additional Myrtle Beach resort with a water park to consider since it features a fantastic outdoor garden with the thrilling Pirates Plunge waterslide.
The water park also has an indoor and outdoor lazy river, a particular undersea play area for the hotel’s youngest explorers, and a pool with a magnificent pool deck just for adults.
Rooms and condos at the Caribbean Resort and Villas are big and pleasant enough to accommodate families of any size, from two to twelve.
- Sand Dunes Resort
The Sand Dunes Resort is home to a fantastic outdoor water park, complete with a kiddie pool, waterslides, a lazy river, and a watery playground, all of which are free to use for guests staying at the resort.
Even though the resort’s water park is accessible to nearby Sands Beach Club, Sands Ocean Club, and Ocean Dunes Resort, it is seldom overcrowded.
If the hotel’s common areas get too crowded, the celebration can easily be relocated to the beach.
If you’d rather postpone your beach time for another day but still need a water fix, the resort has fantastic outdoor and indoor pools that you can use at no extra cost.
Suites, villas, and standard guestrooms are all available.
Suites and villas often include complete or partial kitchens so visitors can prepare their meals.
Ocean Annie’s Beach Bar is one of the most popular spots in the neighborhood, and the resort also features a fun arcade called Family FunZone.
- Ocean Reef Resort
The Ocean Reef Resort is a beachside jewel, but what makes it stand out is the Shipwreck Water Park, where guests can have fun, fun, and more fun.
In addition to the usual fare of slides, slides, and more, the water park also has fountains, bucket dumps, water streams, and a plethora of pool activities, as well as some enormous tiki statues for that extra touch of the tropics.
In addition, the hotel hosts a variety of summer camp programs for youngsters, including water games, treasure hunts, and arts and crafts.
There is also a fantastic arcade with a giant chessboard.
A variety of one-, two-, and four-bedroom condominiums are available to guests, each featuring a living room, kitchen, and balcony.
Suites and guest rooms are also available.
- Dunes Village Resort
The oceanfront Dunes Village Resort is famous for its extensive water park, which includes everything from a “spray” area and lazy river to waterslides for the more daring guests.
There is also a playground fashioned around a pirate ship, magic acts, and arts and crafts classes for children.
Accommodations range from rooms for four to condos for sixteen guests.
The resort also provides beach access and rooms with breath-taking ocean views.
Did I mention that Dunes Village is home to Myrtle Beach’s only indoor water park?
No matter the weather, the pleasure continues.
- Grande Cayman Resort
The Grande Cayman Resort (previously the Long Bay Resort) is home to the Silly Sub Water Park, which features a yellow submarine and three levels of waterslides, making it another wonderful resort with kiddie water parks.
The oceanfront resort has kiddie pools, waterslides, magnificent indoor and outdoor pools, and a lazy river 250 feet long. It is located right in Myrtle Beach.
In addition to beautiful eateries such as Martin’s Restaurant and Oceanview Cafe, the resort features a game area for rainy days.
Suites, condos, and standard rooms are all available, each with a kitchenette, balcony, and coffee machine.
The kitchenettes and refrigerators in some rooms may accommodate as many as eight people.
- Captain’s Quarters Resort
With a mind-boggling 15 water activities and rides, the Captain’s Quarters Resort is undoubtedly one of the most child-friendly resorts on the list and in the entire region.
Among these are indoor and outdoor kiddie pools, lazy rivers, five relaxing whirlpools, and the resort’s main draw, Shipwreck Lagoon, a water park specifically designed with children in mind.
If you need entertainment away from the sea, head to the resort’s bowling alley or the neighboring Family Kingdom Amusement Park.
Head to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk for some great food and shopping.
- Compass Cove Resort
The Compass Cove Resort is the final but certainly not the least of my recommendations for Myrtle Beach water parks, with 22 water rides and activities that may excite the youngsters and awaken the inner kid in adults.
The resort’s water park has six beautiful outdoor and indoor pools; three lazy rivers (one outdoors and indoors); five kid-specific pools; hot tubs; and two thrilling waterslides (the Schooner Screamer and the Compass Cruiser).
The Silly Submarine water playground provides endless entertainment for kids.
Going to a water park is a great way to spice up a beach trip, which I hope I’ve convinced you to do after reading this post.
With the best of both worlds available, every family member can find something to their liking.
Try one of these resorts the next time you want a fantastic water park beach trip.
