Phoenix is a great family-friendly destination. There are lots of fun activities in Phoenix, to enjoy with kids. There’s much to see if you’re visiting the city, like many other visitors and families. While you should explore the historic districts and landmarks around town, plenty of attractions are perfect for the entire family. The city is filled with beautiful parks and green spaces, making it an excellent place for outdoor adventures. Below entails the places to spend quality time with kids.

1. Enchanted Island Amusement Park

Enchanted Island Amusement Park is a fun place to visit with your family. It’s located in Mesa, close to the Phoenix airport and has plenty of things to do. There are plenty of rides and attractions, including an amusement park with roller coasters, go-karts, bumper cars and more! This park also has many food options, like burgers & fries or hot dogs & soda pop!

If you want something more unique than just burgers & fries, then head over here, where they sell ice cream cones and other types such as sundaes or floats (ice cream mixed with sherbet). They even have alcoholic drinks such as margaritas or beer at their concession stand too!

2. Phoenix Zoo

The Phoenix Zoo is a non-profit zoo in Phoenix, Arizona. It was opened in 1962 and is home to over 1,400 animals worldwide. According to the U.S.A, the zoo is considered one of the top 4 zoos in the country. Today. It’s famous for its educational offerings, including animal talks with scientists and animal ambassadors who share their knowledge about these unique creatures with visitors from all walks of life.

The Phoenix Zoo offers many different activities for children as well as adults.

Animal talks – learn about how you can interact with animals at home or on vacation by attending one-on-one sessions with our animal ambassadors. These are great ways for kids ages 3-15 who want more than just staring at pictures online! If your family has members who aren’t interested in meeting someone famous (but still want some fun), check out our other programs like ours, where we’ve done live shows together before too! We even have special birthday parties available through us, too, so feel free to ask if any other options would work better depending on what works best for everyone involved.

3. Arizona Science Center

If you’re looking for a fun place to learn about science, Arizona Science Center is the place. The museum has many hands-on activities and exhibits to entertain your kids and keep them engaged. There are also educational exhibits so you can learn something new!

The centre has three floors with different themes: The World of Energy (museum level), The Human Body Level 1 (base of stairs), and The Human Body Level 2 (second floor). Each floor has unique features like mini-golf courses, an interactive laser tag arena, a climbing wall with age-appropriate challenges and more.

4. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Phoenix

If you’re looking for a great family-friendly attraction in Phoenix, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is the place for you. This water park has plenty of rides and entertainment to keep your kids busy all day long, but it also has plenty of shade and food options (including a restaurant).

The best thing about this park is that kids ages 2–12 can enjoy it! If they aren’t too big yet, baby swings are available so they can have some fun too! There are also slides and other things like splash pads where toddlers can run around without getting into trouble—and without getting dirty or wet. The staff will watch them closely; if anything happens (like someone slips on an icy surface), someone will grab hold of them quickly before anything worse happens.”

5. Phoenix Art Museum

The Phoenix Art Museum is a great place to enjoy the art of Arizona and its neighbouring states. It’s open every day except Christmas and New Year’s Day, so that you can visit any time of year!

This place is like a treasure mine for art lovers, while kids can enjoy other youth-oriented fun activities. Other benefits include:

• Free admission for children under 12 years old (no ticket required).
• Free admission to all Arizona residents on the first Thursday of each month.
• Admission is free on Martin Luther King Jr. Day each January!

6. OdySea Aquarium

The OdySea Aquarium is home to more than 20,000 aquatic animals. It’s a great place for kids to learn about the ocean and its inhabitants. You can also find fun activities at this aquarium, including interactive exhibits that allow you to feed fish or play with sharks!

The best part is that it’s all indoors, so there’s no rain or cold weather outside!

7. Children’s Museum of Phoenix

The Children’s Museum of Phoenix is the largest children’s museum in the Southwest, featuring hands-on exhibits designed to inspire creative play. Kids can explore a fort, create art in the studio and build a model in the workshop. Exhibitions include active waterworks, an enormous sandbox and even a butterfly garden!

8. Goldfield Ghost Town

If you’re looking for a fun place to explore with your family, consider Goldfield Ghost Town. It’s located in Wickenburg and has been around since the 1800s. You can see this town’s history with its buildings and monuments. The best part is that it even includes a jail! Your kids will love playing with old toys they find while exploring this historic site.

The historical significance of this town means there are plenty of things to do here besides just visiting its ghostly architecture. Tours available throughout the year give visitors an inside look at what life was like in these old mine shafts and information about their history as they take place today!

9. Out of Africa Wildlife Park

Out of Africa Wildlife Park is a 100-acre zoo in Camp Verde, Arizona. It’s home to over 1,000 animals and is open year-round.

The park offers fun activities for kids and families alike:

• Noah’s Ark has baby animals that kids can touch, including African pygmy rabbits and kakapos (a type of macaque).
• The Safari Center offers tours through the animal habitats with narration from a park guide. During these tours, you’ll learn about each animal’s natural habitat and behaviour patterns before seeing them up close! 10. Musical Instrument Museum

The Musical Instrument Museum is the most extensive world collection of musical instruments. It has over 13,000 instruments from all over the globe and more than two million pieces of sheet music on display, including ethnic and folk musical instruments.

The museum is in Tempe, Arizona, and it’s open daily from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., except for December 25th (Christmas Day), when it closes at 4 p.m. Average entry ticket rate is $13-$16 per person; ages 3-12 are free!

11. Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium

Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium is an animal park, aquarium, and zoo open to the public. The zoo has over 1,000 animals from around the world. You can see local and exotic animals and exhibits of reptiles, birds and mammals. There are also shows for kids who want to learn about different types of animals or watch them perform tricks for visitors.

Safari tours take you through their natural habitat, including a train ride through Phoenix’s desert landscape which offers views of wildlife, including buffalo cows; snakes like rattlesnakes; scorpions; lizards (like Gila monsters); skunks; armadillos, and the list goes on!

There are several ways to spend time at Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium, such as watching shows throughout the day with your kids or going on pony rides where you get close-up looks at these adorable creatures while they graze away at their hay bales!

12. Golfland Sunsplash

If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly destination within driving distance of the Valley, then Golfland Sunsplash is the place to go. Located in Mesa and open year-round, this water park has plenty to keep everyone entertained—including a wave pool, lazy river, water slides, and more.

The park has everything from giant slides with tubes for toddlers to adults’ favourite tube slide where they can slide down on their stomachs! They even have an indoor zip line course (for when it rains) or go into their V.I.P. area, where you’ll get access to some particular areas like two rock climbing walls or surfing around in shallow pools. There’s no shortage of things here, so do not worry about choosing just one thing because if it doesn’t appeal, t, then other activities are still available at this great family attraction!

13. Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeology Park

Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeology Park; If you’re looking for some fun family activities in Phoenix, this is the place to start. Located in the city’s historic Central neighbourhood, it’s home to the ruins of one of Arizona’s most important archaeological sites: Pueblo Grande. The Hohokam people were a Native American tribe who lived in what is now known as southern Arizona between A.D. 1125 and 1450. Today these ancient villages are preserved by archaeologists thanks to funding from organizations like The National Trust for Historic Preservation and private donations made over many years by individuals like yourself!

The park itself houses two museums:

• One is dedicated solely to learning about prehistoric life through interactive exhibits such as recreations of cooking utensils or tools used during daily tasks.
• Another is focusing more directly on exploring how societies functioned within each community through artefacts like pottery shards found during excavations conducted elsewhere around town). You’ll also find plenty more fun stuff here, including gift shops selling items ranging from jewellery pieces made from local stone quarries.

14. LEGOLAND Discovery Center

15. Desert Botanical Garden

The Desert Botanical Garden is a non-profit botanical garden in Phoenix, Arizona. It was founded in 1939 and is one of the most extensive botanical gardens in the United States. In addition to being a popular tourist destination, it hosts educational programs for adults and children alike.

16. Butterfly Wonderland

Butterfly Wonderland is a butterfly conservatory in Scottsdale, Arizona. The facility has been open since 1997 and is one of the largest butterfly conservatories in the United States. The facility houses over 30,000 butterflies and other insects from all around the world! There are also plenty of ants and other insects to observe in their natural habitat.

Butterfly Wonderland is an incredible place for kids to learn about butterflies and other insects! They have a variety of species on display, including peacocks, swallowtails, monarchs and many more!

If you love learning about wildlife, this place is worth visiting if your child loves animals too!

17. SEA LIFE Arizona

SEA LIFE Arizona is a marine life attraction in Tempe, Arizona. It opened in November 2018 and is part of the SEA LIFE chain of attractions. The park features interactive exhibits, a shark tank, and a touch pool perfect for small children who want to explore underwater with sea creatures.

There are many things to do at this zoo besides just going through all of its exhibits; there are also plenty of animals you can see live on display or meet up with behind glass panels (with an option to feed them). You can even take photos with several different species if you’d like!

18. Castles N’ Coaster

Castles N’ Coaster is a fun amusement park in Phoenix, Arizona. It’s a great place to go with kids and has plenty of rides for them to enjoy. The park also has some great food options you’ll want to check out if you’re looking for something delicious after riding the roller coasters!

The best part about this attraction is that it is next door to Arizona State University, so there’s no need for anyone who wants extra studying done before their exams.

19. I.D.E.A. Museum

If you’re looking for a fun, interactive museum that will keep even the most restless kid entertained, then I.D.E.A. Museum is the place to go!

This world-first museum is an exciting place where people can explore the world of ideas through creative play and discovery in all its forms:

• Art, design, and architecture
• Science (including robotics)
• Engineering
• Human history and culture
